Teddy Thompson - River Man
This is a video from the 'The Songs of Nick Drake: Way to Blue' concert, from January 2010. It was broadcast on the BBC the other night, but this is amateur footage.
I didn't know whether or not I'd enjoy the concert, but it was absolutely amazing, even Lisa Hannigan (who I seriously don't like) was ok. This is Teddy Thompson, son of Richard and Linda Thompson. (Richard and Teddy did a version of the song Richard and Tim Finn wrote, Persuasion which is really good.)
Backing vocals come from Lisa Hannigan, Krystle Warren, and Kirsty Almeida. Danny Thompson is on Double Bass, he played on Nick's first album. I think they used the original string arrangements by Robert Kirby. This is well worth checking out in full.
