Paul Smith - Northern Sky
I went to 'Joe Boyd Presents Way To Blue' on the Tuesday just gone, and recorded this (excuse the shakey hands... I pointed it in the right direction then watched the performance like a normal).
It was a really cool night. The album was recorded at the Way To Blue, The Songs of Nick Drake concerts a couple of years ago. I went to the Liverpool date, and it was beyond genius. At the release they had some of the musicans who performed at the concerts, and Joe Boyd (his producer/manager) telling us some anecdotes about Nick.
It took place at Wilton's Music Hall, which is a cosy little venue in Tower Hamlets, and it was the perfect place for it.
I need to buy this album, I bought a t-shirt instead on the night... hahaha... fangirl.
