Everything Everything - Night of the Long Knives

This morning I got impatient cycling through town I nearly mowed down a lot of runners doing some sort of race. So that's how my day started guys. Then I met a friend for mass at my college. I think she's trying to convert me... jk I'm already 'Catholic'. I met the Dean of my college who is also a priest and had a slightly bizarre conversation about how he gets paid to travel business class for fundraising trips. I'm like... dude, fly economy, and give that money to poor people... I'm pretty sure it's what yer man would do.

Then I mooched home, cleaned, and watched Outlander. I read Voyager (the book this season is based on) about ten or so years ago but it's my favourite book so that was pretty exciting, and not for the soft porn reasons I suspect many watch it for. Then my mother came over to drop off a suitcase for my holiday, and we had apple pie. She cried when she saw my bedroom because it's supposedly so damp (the irony of her being worried about *me*). Anyway, after I finished side-eying her I ate a massive salad with avocado for dinner and replied to e-mails. Work cancelled, my supervisor postponed, the damp is going to be checked, I have the loan of a bike in New Plymouth. The exciting times continue.
